What starts as the story of an assassin fighting for her freedom slowly turns into something so much bigger. Throne of Glass is not just about survival, it’s about growth, power, and finding who you really are.
As the series goes on, everything starts to feel bigger and more intense. The story grows beyond what you expect, and before you realize it, you’re completely invested in the world, the characters, and everything they go through.
Reading order:
Not gonna lie… the reading order for the Throne of Glass series can be confusing. Everyone seems to have a different opinion on how you should read it, so I’ll keep it simple for you.
In this image, you’ll find both the chronological order and Sarah J. Maas’s recommended order. Honestly, it doesn’t really matter which one you choose. I personally read the prequel after finishing the whole series, and it didn’t ruin the experience at all.

About the tandem read:
If you want a more immersive experience while reading the Throne of Glass series, you can do a tandem read of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn.
This is probably one of the most confusing parts for a lot of readers, since both books take place at the same time but follow different characters and storylines. So here I’ll give you a checklist you can follow if you want to read both books at the same time.

Tropes:
assassin FMC
found family
enemies to lovers
slow burn
hidden identity
magical world
strong female lead
Overall, the Throne of Glass series is one of those stories that just stays with you. It starts off simple, but with every book it becomes bigger, more intense, and way more emotional than you expect.
You really get attached to the characters. You see everything they go through, how much they struggle and grow, and by the end it honestly feels like you’ve been on that journey with them.
If you like fantasy with strong characters, found family, and a story that keeps getting better, you should definitely read this series.
